Media reports on the interest from Turkish investors in Montenegro started a couple of years ago and actually – never ended. Starting from 2014., there has been a notable and increased interest of Turkish investors in Montenegrin fast-growing economy.
Just some of these fields are: real estate, tourism, banking, medicine and energetics. Turkish leading enterprises are today more than ever motivated to invest in important projects – touristic developments, construction of thermal and hydroelectric plants as well as windmills in Montenegro.
At the last month’s meeting held within the 4th session of the Mixed Commission for Economic Cooperation between the Government of Montenegro and the Government of Turkey, the Turkish representatives shared important experiences related to the implementation of the model of private-public partnership in the financing of capital projects.
In 2017, we have observed an increasing number of real estate buyers from Turkey, as well as the companies owned by Turks. Some of these companies offer services of applying for residency and work permit, as many of their clients from Turkey plan to reside and live in Montenegro.
However, not only Turkish tourists and investors are visitors of Montenegro, but cultural crème de la crème too.
The news, which recently thrilled all fans of modern literature here announced that Orhan Pamuk –the greatest contemporary Turkish author recently arrived in Montenegro. Pamuk opened the 10th annual Book Fair, where he received the international literal award. The Nobel Prize winner pointed out that one of the things that impressed him most is multi-ethnic tolerance and harmony in Montenegro.
